The Ambush x Converse Chuck 70 Hi is Yoon Ahn’s inventive sneaker design with the classic American heritage footwear brand. One half of Ambush, a contemporary Japanese jewelry line with her husband Verbal, Ahn has influenced a legion of streetwear fans with her forward-thinking aesthetics and high profile collaboration. Here, the Chuck 70 Hi subs in a rubberized upper reminiscent of rain boots. Special instructions printed on the upper inform to “keep double laced to hold firmly” and “fold gusset this side only to hold firmly” for an industrial aesthetic. Bold Ambush branding spans both heels with signature Chuck Taylor branding appearing on the collar. An extra thick layered white midsole puts the finishing touch on the bold high-top.
