Position title: Law Clerk (Immigration Law) (Full time)
Job Duties:
  • Receive on the job training from attorneys and experienced paralegals and law clerks.
  • Draft briefs, motions, applications for the attorney to be reviewed and revised before these to be submitted to the Board of Immigration Appeals, Immigration courts, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and other government authorities.
  • Prepare replies to the government’s request for evidence to be used by the attorney.
  • Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, Constitutional precedents, government regulations, federal register notices, and other legal materials, and prepare legal opinion and advice for the attorneys to send to clients.
  • Make legal and factual evaluation of the U.S. Employers and assist the attorney to prepare legal advice on hiring process of skilled and unskilled workers by U.S. employers.
  • Research topics, news and alerts on immigration law matters.
  • Client interviewing, notetaking, eliciting information and presenting statements for the use and review by attorneys and senior staff.
  • Summarize and analyze laws, rules and regulations, case decisions and updates to use them in the cases by other law clerks or paralegal and by attorneys.
  • Assist the attorney to prepare immigration petitions and applications and file them with the government agencies.
  • Print and make copies of documents, scanning, mailing documents to Clients and government agencies.
  • Maintaining schedules of the attorneys and other senior staff.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Prelaw, Law (any major), or its foreign equivalent
  • Must have at least six (6) months of experience in job offered, law clerk, paralegal, an associate, law trainee, law intern, or a related field.
